I sit there in silence as tears track down my face.
'Tis a crime to be sad as he sneers in distaste.
To him my tears mean love isn't there.
When lack of emotion is what he should fear.
A clean house, dinner made as rage festers inside.
"Oh, how I love you." he smiles so wide.
You love how I serve you, not who I am.
Hurt me once more and I won't give a damn.
I'll get up and walk out as you beg me to stay,
Promise to change, alter your ways.
But I promised myself and my promise holds true.
That one more line crossed- I'd be the woman you knew...
